Peripheral realities!!

While turning a newspaper, a man said to me “Yaar everywhere people are firing bullets nowadays “. Indeed if you are an avid reader and have a keen interest in world affairs, then you know whether it’s swat valley in Pakistan or Afghanistan or controversial Tibet or Sri Lanka, Bullets are the means for easy solutions. Elite powerful politicians have turned the world into a battle field. A battle field where the perpetrator of crime is so hidden in quarantine and although bullet are being fired blindly to uproot their existence resulting into mass massacre.

To understand let’s discuss something fresh. Recently, invincible LTTE had been buried into the past with death of Prabhakaran. Let’s dig up some ground why LTTE came into existence. Probably Sinhala community (majority) was not giving rights to Tamils (minority which came to Sri Lanka during British rule for working in their tea fields). Tamil women and children were not safe. Young girls were being raped allegedly by army and Sinhala dominated govt. took no action in protection. So Prabhakaran and his colleagues went for organized military actions for achieving Tamil rights and captured north Sri Lankan province which was later known as Tamil Elam” A cease fire agreement was done later which stipulated for no more war. But this is a world where few people always get engaged in evil counterpart, creating unrest for others. Smuggling of drugs, weaponry, animal’s body parts etc. Illegal business was carried out for source of income by LTTE. It had a well developed chain of workers and contacts in every country. The worst Prabhakaran did for Tamil people was use of citizens as suicide bombers. Shri Rajiv Gandhi, one of the beloved PM of India was victim a suicide bomber, sent by LTTE. Many Sri Lankan politicians became prey of suicide bombers till now. As an aftermath, Rajapaksa had to take military action against LTTE but who was the sufferer ultimately? Aam admi. Whether it’s Afghanistan, Pakistan, Lalgarh in India, Sri Lanka, these attacks have resulted a sea of refugees living in destitute and hunger. Their emaciated body with hopeless eyes says the whole story. There are two answers for their situation: one philosophical and one real. Philosophical reason first it was their destiny, real one they accompanied those who took path of terrorism for serving purpose.

After creating annihilation, Rajapaksa in Sri Lanka appeared with smile begging before the world for money to rehabilitate Tamil Diaspora and pledged to advocate their right of equality to fool world. What kind of a business is this!!

Naxalite in India, Taliban in Pakistan want parallel government. Is it feasible? Is their war against corruption is indeed true when their chiefs are having accounts in Swiss banks and their children’s are studying abroad? Are they really serving for purpose they ask for? Certainly not. Everybody understands it’s a private business now .In Pakistan people aspire to be Islamic first and Pakistani later. Is Taliban a solution who are themselves creating problem? Or everybody just wants to get noticed?

Nowadays If you want to get noticed do a fired, plan a bomb blast, give some racial comments etc . Boss you will get noticed. But you will get same in return. Don’t worry.

At the end of the day few will survive and will live with the pain in deep of their heart for loss of their beloved in this battle field created for selfish reasons of few. If we will be lucky enough we can read these news in newspaper and can comment as well as present an analysis as I did above or worst we will be come news someday.

He was Shiv Khera!!

I was chatting with friends in camp...suddenly I heard an appealing voice containing some relevant thoughts over social problems...I came out of the camp and saw a man with spectacles hanging over his neck, was addressing the crowd while moving on the stage...He was very influential and his thoughts were so spellbinding...I asked some guy about the person...He told me," he is Shiv Khera"...I couldn't believe on my eyes that I was watching the great management guru, Mr. Khera from a distance of 20 feets.

He spoke over one and half hours, covering a wide area of social topics...He exaplained problems using real life situations...like how a child starts speaking lie over telephone that his father is not in home due to fear of his father...He also provided solutions to each problem and more than that he inspired everyone to be a nice human being and then to be a great Indian face in the future.

Do you remember the movie "Halla Bol" directed by Rajkumar Santoshi? The last roadshow played in that movie was inspired by a famous quotation of "Shiv Khera"...watch it!!...Basically, he presented these views before us:-
1. be a human       2. be an Indian (not a Bengali or Gujarati or Marathi etc.)        3. Say 'no' to Dowry system 4. Say 'no' to reservation 5. Help the needy, not the greedy   6. Say 'no' to secularism   7. Say 'no' to Child labour etc....You can get these thoughts in websites...But the way he explained was so touching that someone who have heard him once will hardly forget these values in the lifetime.

After the end of speech,we discussed a lot about it in the camp...I read 'You Can Win' by Mr. Khera later in BIT...It's really thoughtful and encouraging...But here I would like to present some reality...I've seen these thoughts dying at every corner where life turns, for selfish reasons in which we are deeply indulged...I agree that nobody can be totally selfless but keeping some of these values intact are under our control...We can at least try to revive these values up to certain extent...People like Shiv Khera,Amartya Sen are doing it, they are fighting for this world, with this world and see how successful they are!!...They are also humans like us...If they can, we also can!!

we need a local bus!!

On the way to BIT from Jamshedpur after Holi vacation, I found there was so much rush in government bus this time...they were local passengers from the villages across the highway and were going to their schools and colleges which of course were far from their place...But what disturbed me was the way they stopped govt. bus...I generally sleep during my journey nowadays but these hooligans awoke me...Generally all the passengers would have felt the same way I felt...But this was my mistake.

There was a lady sitting diagonally opposite to me in the front row...she was very concerned about those locals...she told driver to stop the bus and told everyone to come inside...almost 40 guys entered...she told those people to meet S.D.O. for commencing a new bus for locals...She took them in confidence(she works for previous CM Babulal Marandi) and some of them got interested to go with her to meet S.D.O.

I want to point out a very simple problem which locals are facing which have a very simple solution, a separate bus for locals...But we need mighty people like her...India is such a big country full of highways and every highway have a lot of villages across...villages have a lot of people...some of those people are students like us...they must be having the same problem as these people.

Tomorrow when we will be sitting somewhere in the bus with prosperity and we will see students dealing with such a pathetic condition for having primary education...and we won't be able to do anything for them as most of the passenger in govt. bus couldn't do this time...This will be shameful...so please wake up!!

My journey in NSS,BIT Mesra

This is one of the saturday of my life...when all my friends have gone to Ranchi..and I'm alone in my room...thinking about the bygone days...three years of hardship in NSS,BIT Mesra...I remember the day when we prepared for NSS viva in the way to NCC ground...we discussed if we will do camp then we will be having more chances of becoming secretary like Amit Bhaiya...this was the first time I decided to become NSS secretary...It was a dream.

I attended camp in winters...The experience with new friends was exhilarating but the experience with authority was painful...I never had problem with authority earlier during my school life...I bunked many events during camp, sitting in the hostel...I decided to be in tune with authority for marks concern...seriously speaking I worked in none of the activities conducted in N.S.S. in first semester...

Second semester came...I was given a lot of responsibilities because I was in the eye of secy...I worked and got excellent...No altercation in that semester...But during summer, I got interest in V.B. programming...I made one simple application and decided to improve the application...

Third semester, I studied a lot of books on V.B. and improved my application...completely isolated from N.S.S...It was Blood donation camp...programme coordinator argued with me...I never like insult on unethical background...I formatted my laptop that day...application gone!!...I decided to change things...It was the turning point...Dream became a need...I did a lot of work after that incident...

Fourth semester, I got magazine project...I came in contact with lot of people and got to know a lot about organization...Then I was given an opportunity to attend Delhi camp...Rahul and I attended the camp...It was a blast.

Finally fifth semester...executive body was formed...It was the time when dream came true. But now it was the challenge to work in an organization where things were casual, everything was a joke for everyone but we were serious...We wanted to do a lot about NSS but there was so much of inertia...people told me that the way I was dealing with things, was not right...We organized all events successfully in a much better way...I felt something changed, I felt some spirit in volunteers...Believe me with Josh and Junoon, difficult can be made easy...But I was having  a lot of problems regarding my present studies and future ambitions...It was not due to NSS public but it was due to authority which says you to have three signature for allocating a single room no. 221...finally I resigned.

We are in such a place and time where people will always make humour of serious thoughts…but It’s very important to empower ourselves…crucial time going on…Do something…May God will enlighten your path…All the best!!
